| well, i guess it's about time to update. well, i got back from my short but very cool vacation last week. went to visit my sister and her hubby donnie in chicago. we had fun doing various things. went to ESPN zone (which is so tight), toured the city a little bit, tried some polish pierogies and some greek food (which is way awesome), saw my cousins paul, rachel, stephie, and ellie (haven't seen them since the wedding), met some of my sister's friends, etc., etc. chicago is so much cooler than virginia. anyways, i've got one week left at wegmans. i'm happy that i won't have to work 40 hours a week as a cashier anymore. but the people there were very cool. we also move in a week and a half. this has been a good house, but it's time to move on to better things. well, that's all for now. i'll post in another month or so. later | | |
| so, it's been raining like crazy yesterday and today. flash flooding on Route 7 and other such roads. had to drive through one yesterday. never seen so much water in my life. craziness. well, gotta find something to do. i'm out. | | |
| so not much has been going on since i last updated over a month ago. since then, i've turned 22. that's about it. i've seen the 1st few summer "blockbusters" in the theatres. MI:3, The Da Vinci Code, and X-Men 3. X-Men 3 was, by far, the most superior of the 3 movies. it was a very good movie for how short it was. because it was so short i would give it an 8 out of 10. it wasn't at all how i imagined it to be. a lot of "shockers" in the movie. but overall, very well done. if it was a little longer and developed some of the characters some more, i would have given the movie a 9 out of 10. (i'm not gonna give out 10s very easily, those are reserved for movies like the original Star Wars trilogy, Braveheart, Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, etc.). The Da Vinci Code was a HUGE dissapointment. it was the worst of the 3 movies (yes, worse than MI:3 which actually wasn't a bad movie). Tom Hanks is not right for Robert Langdon. Ian McKellan was fairly good as Teabing/Teacher. Audrey Tautou as Neuveu is not overly done, although she looks pretty good in the film. the biggest fault with the movie, though, is that they completely butchered the storyline. now i'm not saying that the movie has to be exactly like the book, in fact it shouldn't be. but, the movie was pretty much an entirely different story than the book. i hope Dan Brown didn't watch this movie, because if i was him and watched this movie, i would want the rights to the book back, or at least ask for more money. as for MI:3, it was nothing spectacular, but it was not as bad as the Da Vinci Code. that's all i'll say about that. | | |
| it's my sister's birthday today! she's 29! | | |
| so, i've really gotten into the Kingdom Hearts series lately. i know i'm a little late on the original Kingdom Hearts. all i have to say is that it's a great video game series. Kingdom Hearts 2 is tight. i'm gonna try the Devil May Cry Series next. well, i'm out. | | |
